Google Real Estate trends for the past month

Time to take another peek at the regional google search trends for real estate for the past month.

I took a day-by-day look at how often people in Connecticut searched Google for the term "real estate" from April 20 to May 17. Here are some highlights:

Note that the results are indexed to 100, so a day with a 100 score had the most activity, and any score below 100 shows its relative lower level of activity.

Sundays were the most active days, as noted on the index scores:

Sunday April 26: 85
Sunday May 3: 100
Sunday May 10: 91
Sunday May 17: 97

The weekdays were lower, with Thursdays and Fridays among the lowest scorers, indexing consistently in the low 70s. It'd be interesting to cross reference these dates to the weather.

Bottom line: Clients are looking for real estate content on Sundays -- try and post your listings and update your agent site before the weekend rolls around, to give the search engine spiders a chance to find you before then.
